ABOUT BANGLADESH  
 

Bangladesh in its name is the People's republic of Bangladesh. Its State Religion is Islam. Muslims are in majority and Hindus, Christians, Buddhist, Baha'is and some tribal ethnic groups are in minority. Total population of Bangladesh is about 14 crore and its area 56977 sq. miles.  Majority are in 80% ratio and rests are minorities.
 

INTRODUCTION

Bangladesh Minority Lawyers' Association, a non-governmental and non-profitable minority lawyers' organization, was established in 2005 by its founding members Mr. Barrister Nikhilesh Dutta, Former Ambassador Cyril Sikder and Mr. S. N. Goswami, Advocate Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

VISION

The vision of the Minority Lawyers' Association is the creation of moral, social, and ethical environment in which, through guided interaction, the people of minorities living in Bangladesh can learnt to respect and appreciate people of different cultures and backgrounds and to show that respect in communication and consultative processes. Through challenge and discipline they learnt to take responsibilities for their own lives and be of service to their environment.

PHILOSOPHY

Minority Lawyers' Association believes that the awareness for the needs of minorities people is projected in the responsibility of majority people and, association in implementing within the everyday lives of the minority people those essential qualities and attributes needed to safeguard the growing generations against unhappiness and diseases of society.
